Zara is already living up to the breed nickname of “velcro vizsla.” If she is not running around the house like a crazy puppy, her preferred place to be is sitting in someone’s lap. I am starting a new job on Dec. 30th and I took some time off in between so right now I am spending most days at home with Zara. After she wakes up at 6am, we go outside, I feed her, we play a little bit, and then we take a nap on the couch together. She is either right next to me or on top of me. Throughout the day, if I am sitting at my desk and she is playing with some toys on the floor, eventually she will start whining and pawing at my lap to get up. I pick her up and she settles into my lap and falls asleep. She does make quite a nice lap warmer. I worry that this is going to become a problem in a couple weeks, because she is already getting a little big to fit in my lap! She weighed 13.8 pounds yesterday and will soon be much larger. I’m not sure how I’m going to handle a 50-pound lap dog… :)

Last night, Chris, Zara, and I were hanging out on the couch watching TV. Chris soon fell asleep and little Zara climbed up on the top of the couch and promptly positioned herself on top of his head. Thankfully, I had my iPad nearby and was able to capture this adorable scene on camera!
