About On Point Design
Hi, I’m Terry Ann, the owner and creative director of On Point Design. I founded the company in 2016 after years of honing my skills as a graphic designer in the Washington, DC area.
My interest in art began when I was a kid, and it led me to major in Studio Art in college and earn a MFA in Graphic Design in graduate school. Though I started my career in graphic design, it wasn’t until I combined my love for art and design with my personal passion for dog sports that On Point Design truly evolved.
Over the years, On Point Design has grown to specialize in design and media for the outdoor industries, particularly those centered around performance dogs and dog sports. My own journey as a dog owner and competitor has influenced this transition. I have competed in field trials, hunt tests, conformation, lure coursing, and dock diving with my Vizslas and Rhodesian Ridgeback. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for the world of outdoor sports, training, and the bond between dogs and their owners.
Over the last five years, I have worked with numerous performance dog brands and organizations, helping them tell their stories through compelling design. The name “On Point” was inspired by my Vizsla, Zara, who, when on a hunt, goes “on point” when she’s located a bird. This concept of being “on point” extends to the design work I create—tailored precisely to the needs of each client.
At On Point Design, I pride myself on listening to my clients and tailoring solutions that are not only visually striking but also strategically effective. Whether you’re a brand in the dog sports industry, an outdoor adventure company, or a dog trainer, my team and I are here to help bring your vision to life.
If you’re ready to collaborate on your next project, I’d love to hear from you. Let’s work together to create something that’s on point.
